It’s that time of year; time for the annual Las Vegas Great Santa Run, which benefits local charity Opportunity Village. This race will be held on Saturday, December 4. Opportunity Village helps local individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. All of the profits from this fundraiser help them continue their valuable work in the community.
All runners will dress in Santa suits; it’s quite a sight to see hundreds of Santas running! This run will take place in Downtown Las Vegas at the Fremont Street Experience. Runners can either opt for the one-mile course or a 5k. Registering as a runner will cost $40, which includes a 5-piece Santa suit. Registration for runners and volunteers is still open.
All registered runners will need to pick up their packets in person at Opportunity Village on either Monday, November 29, Thursday, December 2, or Friday, December 3 between 11 am and 6 pm, 7 pm on December 3. Packets can also be picked up the morning of at the event.
The day’s festivities will start at 8 am with some live entertainment, and the run will begin at 10 am. The event will go on until 1 pm. Local celebrities usually come out in support of the runners and for the good cause that Opportunity Village stands for. You can join in the fun by just coming down to watch a bunch of Santas run for a worthy cause!
