New Hours and Pre-Theater Menu Launch

High Steaks Vegas has adjusted its operating hours and launched a new prix fixe menu option starting today. The steakhouse, perched atop the Masquerade Tower at Rio Hotel & Casino, now operates from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Chef/Partner James Trees announced these changes alongside the introduction of a “Pre-Theatre Menu” designed specifically for diners attending shows at the Rio.

The timing makes perfect sense for locals who want to catch Penn & Teller, The Empire Strips Back, or W. O. W. without rushing through dinner. Trees clearly understands that Vegas dining should complement our world-class entertainment scene, not compete with it.

The $85 Pre-Theater Experience

The new three-course menu runs $85 plus tax and gratuity and is available nightly for guests seated between 4:30 and 6 p.m. The first course options include Wild Game Tartare, Pastrami Glazed Bacon, Prime Rib Sliders, Esther's Caesar Salad, and a Chopped Wedge Salad. For the main course, diners can choose from American Wagyu Hangar Steak, 10 oz. Smoked Prime Rib, Venison Backstrap, or Butternut Squash Tortellini.

Any side dish from the main menu is included, though the Crab & Asparagus Oscar Gratin costs an additional $10. For those wanting to splurge, a Surf & Turf option featuring 5 oz Filet Mignon and 6 oz Lobster Tail is available for an extra $30. Dessert rounds out the experience with either Black Forest Piecaken or Hummingbird Cake.

Local Value in the Entertainment Capital

“Las Vegas should always be about offering value, and since we're the Entertainment Capital of the World, we really wanted to give people going to local shows an opportunity to enjoy a great meal at a great price,” said Trees in the press release. This approach resonates with locals who appreciate restaurants that understand the Vegas lifestyle goes beyond just tourists passing through.

The Rio's entertainment lineup has been steadily building momentum, and having a quality steakhouse option that works with show schedules rather than against them shows Trees gets what locals want. The pre-theater concept isn't new to Vegas, but executing it well at this price point in a tower restaurant setting could set High Steaks Vegas apart from the competition.

Perfect Timing for Rio's Renaissance

The menu launch coincides with the Rio‘s efforts to strengthen its entertainment offerings and dining scene. For locals who’ve watched the property evolve over the years, having a chef-driven steakhouse that actually considers our schedules feels refreshing. The 4:30 p.m. start time gives diners plenty of flexibility, whether they're catching an early show or just want to beat the dinner rush.

Check the High Steaks Vegas reservations if you're planning to try the new pre-theater menu before your next Rio show.
